Chìm xuống nước, mặt trời lặn: 夕日が沈む. Nghĩa bóng “buồn bã, ủ rũ”: 気分が沈む. Không dùng cho giấy kẹt máy (詰まる) hay nhiệt độ đạt mức (達する).
