Dùng cho giao thông (đường, xe) bị ùn tắc: 道が渋滞している, 渋滞に巻き込まれる. Không dùng cho người đông trong xe, lịch trình hay suy nghĩ như đáp án sai ở bài cách dùng từ.

この道は、朝の通勤時間になると渋滞して、車が前に進まない。Con đường này đến giờ đi làm buổi sáng là tắc, xe không nhúc nhích được.
工事のせいで道が渋滞している。Vì đang thi công nên đường bị tắc.
