苦しい（くるしい）

khó chịu, đau đớn; khổ sở

Cơ thể bị bó chặt, khó thở (ズボンがきつくて苦しい) hoặc tinh thần/kinh tế khổ sở (生活が苦しい). Đọc くるしい, đừng nhầm くやしい (tiếc, ấm ức), かなしい (buồn).

Examples

最近太ったので、ズボンがきつくて、はくとすぐ苦しくなってしまう。Dạo này tôi tăng cân, quần chật nên mặc vào là khó chịu ngay.
苦しいときは、この歌を聞きます。Mỗi khi khổ sở tôi lại nghe bài hát này.
