to accustom; to warm up (the body); to tame
Transitive verb; the intransitive pair is 慣れる: 体を慣らす, 目を暗さに慣らす, 動物を慣らす. Means actively getting used to something gradually. Do not confuse with 鳴らす (to sound) or 均す (to level).
