JLPT N3 Grammar
the act of; the thing (nominalizer)
Nominalizes a clause and comes before を, が, は. Leans toward concrete matters that can be directly seen or felt; used with 見る, 聞こえる, 手伝う, 好きだ, 忘れる. Compared with こと, の is colloquial and refers to more concrete actions.
