Hai nghĩa: (1) suy đoán dựa trên thông tin nghe được, có vẻ, nghe nói (新しいカフェができるらしい), (2) N らしい = đúng chất N (田村さんらしい部屋). Khác 〜そうだ (trông có vẻ / nghe nói), 〜みたい.
