was it again? (recalling something forgotten)
Used in casual speech when you know something but have forgotten it and want to confirm, or when you suddenly remember something. It is often used with the past tense (だったっけ, ましたっけ) but this does not mean the event is in the past. Not used in writing or toward superiors.
